Ayanna the Makanga

Ayanna had a big dream; she wanted to work on buses, helping people get where they needed to go. This job is called being a makanga!
At first, it wasn’t easy. Some people didn’t believe she could do it because most makangas were men. Some passengers looked at her funny, and some of her workmates weren’t very friendly. But Ayanna didn’t give up! She loved her job too much.
With her big smile and kind heart, Ayanna made everyone feel welcome on the bus. She helped people find seats, made sure everyone was safe, and even cheered them up on rainy days! Soon, the passengers loved her. Even the other workers started to see how great she was. Ayanna showed everyone that girls can be amazing makangas too! Because of Ayanna, many little girls started dreaming big dreams too. They saw that they could be anything they wanted; bus helpers, pilots, builders, anything at all!
Ayanna’s story teaches us that kindness, hard work, and believing in yourself can change the world. It doesn’t matter if you are a girl or a boy, you can follow your dreams and shine bright!
